JUMPIN' UP, JUMPIN' DOWN, JUMPIN' ALL AROUND

These guys jumped.  I know we just saw them (my husband & a friend) a couple of posts ago (“Down”), but they fit here as well.  After all, they had to “Jump” in order to come “Down”.

And she jumped!  And her sister bungee-jumped off a bridge, but we don’t have a picture of that so I borrowed a sample from the ‘net.

Ack!  I imagine she looked something like this when she jumped.  She went to a meeting of bungee-jumpers with a boyfriend just to watch him jump, but he convinced her to try it.  She said it was exciting, but she didn’t think she’d want to do it again, and I don’t think she ever did.

A ‘few’ years earlier their Mom jumped but hardly under such challenging circumstances. She’s the cheerleader on the left jumping during a high school basketball rally.  Geez Louise, look at all those crinolines.  Times have changed!

These guys jumped over stuff.

This fellow topped the cow’s brag . . . maybe?  I tried to authenticate this picture, but couldn’t find another like it so I think it’s a composite? Oh well. The idea is still fun.

Hopping is another form of jumping except to a lesser degree.  High school prom-goers doing the “Bunny Hop”.

  1. Oh my , many memories of the bunny hop. Not at proms though, more like weddings or big parties where people didn't really know each other much. Anyway, Kermit takes the cake, as they say. I'm off in another area completely and not at all on the meme this week. Oh well, sort of like Jack's jumping around all over the place!

  2. I had a brother-in-law who used to jump out of planes. Unfortunately he was killed in a plane crash, not a jump.
I remember one time doing the bunny hop around the house. It must have been a holiday because all the children were home. The good ol' days.

  3. Very clever! A few years ago my daughter-in-law made a tandem assisted parachute jump. I think it was her way of conquering fear, much like taking a bungee jump. Fortunately neither she nor my son took it up as a hobby. Parents don't need that kind of anxiety.

    1. Both daughters and son had adventurous spirits which was good in many ways, but yes, I think Mom & Dad could have done with maybe a little less "parental anxiety". Oh well.

  4. Love the cheerleader uniforms and the "over the moon" cartoon -- gave me a good laugh. The bungee jumping looks scary indeed. I doubt I'd give it a second try...if I even gave it a first :-)

  5. Enjoyed the Sesame Street video... Have to confess I was never much of a "jumper" myself... ;)
