P.S.

I know, I know - me and my birds.  But I had to include these parents, Jackie & Shadow, with their offspring, Sunny & Gizmo. J

Today, a month after this picture was taken, those cute little babies are close in size to their parents, take up the entire center of the nest, and are very close to leaving it.  They’ve been jumping around flapping their wings like crazy in preparation.  Here's hoping they make it!

Comments

  1. First comment: your little girls looked a lot like you did as a youngster! Second, I loved the Disneyland portrait of all the family dressed up! And then third (oh you really gave me lots to comment on today) I have also watched Shadow and Jackie with their lucky brood this year, especially after failure of last year! So glad that the camera is still working and they post on Facebook. They are definitely beautiful critters.

  2. This Sepia Saturday theme was tailor-made for you and your collection of photogenic family photos. I don't believe you've shared the one of you feeding your dad before. Too cute! The Disneyland train car photo is swell but really needs to be in black and white for Sepia Saturday fans. As for the eagles, we started watching them back in covid time when they were insulating eggs in blizzard-like conditions. They are nature's model of fidelity, endurance, and determination.
