WHERE DID THE CAMERA CATCH YOU SITTING?
The camera caught yours
truly in 1942 sitting on a log in Muir Woods Redwood Park.
It caught my 2 year old sister sitting on our Mom’s legs while she was
sunbathing at Lake Tahoe in
1947.
In 1972 my 3 year old son
was caught in the camera’s lens sitting on the edge of his sandbox which his
Dad made for him. When not in use that
top dropped down to cover the sandbox and all the toys in it.
My eldest daughter was
caught lounging in her very own wicker chair at 6 months of age in 1973.
In 1983 my son and two
daughters were snapped sitting on a fence by
the ocean in Crescent City, Calif. on a foggy foggy day which was not all that
unusual for Crescent City in the summer.
My Dad was caught sitting
on the railing of the Meeks Bay, Lake Tahoe pier in 1930 when he was around 17.
My brother and I were caught sitting on a rock in the middle of Meeks Creek, Lake Tahoe in 1958.
In 1968 I was caught posing
for the camera sitting on the back of a seat in this long airboat which skimmed
over the waters of the Klamath River in northern Calif.
Eldest daughter was caught
in 1995 behind the wheel of a boat she
was aboard on the ocean off Santa Catalina Island in southern Calif.
And in 2014 the camera
caught her sitting with her dad on a beautiful bench on the Isle of Capri.
The camera caught me
sitting on a rock wall at Olmsted Point with Yosemite laid out behind me – Clouds
Rest over my right shoulder; Half Dome, way on down there, over my left
shoulder in 2006.
On New Year’s Day in 1967
during a trip to the snow, the camera caught the family sitting around a picnic
table in the snow with my youngest sister and her then boyfriend sitting on the table, my Grandma Louise and me seated
properly on a bench, and our Mom sitting on a garbage can!
My material friend, Estelle,
was caught sitting at my little bistro table on one of the two matching chairs
in my gazebo when she joined me for tea five years past.
Very clever catch from the meme! Loved that you finished your iced drinks before the last photo. But all of these were worthy of comments! The Isle of Capri shot is gorgeous, and I love that Estelle is sometimes your teatime partner. The one you started off with of you on a log was just precious, as are all the ones of children...and your parents, and that picnic in the snow! Such fun shots all!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed my post. I had fun mixing things up, yet keeping them in short categories: child to child, fence to railing, rock to rock, boat to boat, tiled rock bench to rock wall, and table to table. ;)
