B IS FOR BANANA
A is for Apples,
baked with brown sugar and cinnamon.
B is for Bananas,
especially paired with peanut butter.
C is for Corn on the cob sprinkled with salt & drenched in
melted butter.
D is for doughnuts - plain cake or old fashioned - dipped in my coffee.
My Dad and I both worked across the bay in San Francisco. Although we commuted to work on different buses, we rode the same bus home - getting off near a local coffee shop where we'd meet my Mom to have coffee and doughnuts before heading home - Mom and Dad to the family home, and me, to my apartment. It was a special time and a great way to catch up on what was happening with both of them and the rest of my family still living at home. :)
E is for eggs - deviled.
F is for French fries – crisp, hot, salted & peppered! No
ketchup.
G is for
Guacamole!
I is for Irish Cream lattes at Schnoog’s Coffee Shop on Friday
afternoons.
K is for Kocher pickles,
both dill and sweet.
L is for
Lemon. Anything with lemon. I love
lemon!
M is for Marshmallows, roasted over an open fire & made into
S’mores with graham crackers & chocolate. This is my cousin
trying to eat a S’more made with a giant gooey marshmallow at
a Lake
Tahoe family camp potluck.
N is for Noodles, plain with lots of butter. Also tasty sprinkled
with summer savory, tarragon, & parmesan.
P is for Peanut butter – on a banana, in a sandwich, baked in a
cookie, or spooned straight out of the jar! J
Q is for Quiche - most any kind, but Quiche Lorraine is my fav'
R is for Rice pudding baked with nutmeg following my Grandma B's recipe. So creamy. Soooo good.
T is for Tacos – beef, in soft flour tortillas with all the fixin’s,
U is for Upside down cake.
V is for Velveeta cheese, melt-in-your-mouth yummy and makes great macaroni & cheese, or sauce for broccoli & cauliflower.
W is for watermelon, sweet &
juicy
