A TALE OF NOAH'S ARK

The ark took approximately 75 years to build and fill with animals and birds and was a’float for 110 days or 3 ½ months before the Great Flood receded and Noah found land again.

There were some misunderstandings when Noah first began to build the ark.

He had to change his plans a few times.

“Bad news everyone!  The Ark didn’t turn out as I expected.”

At last the ark was built, but along came the local HOA making noise.  Luckily, the rains came and Noah was able to move the ark in time to avoid paying a fine.

When the ark was ready Noah began taking on animals in a certain order.

Some were quick to get aboard, others, not so much.

Others missed the boat altogether.

“So, what part of RSVP didn’t you understand?”

Eventually, a pair of unicorns did get on board, but Sylvia had been smitten with Terry and wasn’t exactly fond of Stan, so things didn’t look too promising for the future of unicorns.

At last Noah had all the animals and birds onboard.  There were some problems . . .

. . . and temptations . . .

. . . and the animals drove him crazy at times, but Noah knew building the ark and saving them all was his destiny.

There were some modern conveniences.

After 40 days and 40 nights they appeared to have made the voyage safely . . . maybe?

They landed somewhere in the area of Mount Ararat.  The animals disembarked and all species were saved.  Well, except for the dinosaurs who missed the boat, and the unicorns.  Sylvia and Stan went their separate ways and the fate of unicorns was, unfortunately, forever sealed.

I leave you with these good thoughts about Noah and his Ark – every bit as relevant today as they were approximately 4300 years ago!

  3. Very clever! I suspect Noah told a good joke on himself, too.
